Types of Rooms
The Retreat features 47 spacious rooms & suites ranging from 60-200 sqm which connect the breathtaking views of the mountains and valley with the ultimate in contemporary comfort.
Summit Suites are 120sqm offering breathtaking views of Wetterstein Mountain and rushing Ferchenbach Creek in the south. They feature a master bedroom with a balcony, a living room, a sleeping room for kids with two separate beds, and one bathroom (24sqm). The Summit Suite can be connected to the Valley Suite (80sqm) for forming the Presidential Suite (200 sqm).
Valley Suites are 80sqm featuring a master bedroom, a 16 sqm bathroom, and a living room with breathtaking views of the valley as well a sunrise and sunset in the summer. The Valley Suite can be connected to the Summit Suite to form a Presidential Suite.
Ferchenbach Suites are 85sqm featuring a master bedroom and living room with balconies, loggias, or terraces offering breathtaking views of the Wetterstein Mountains and Ferchenbach Creek. The Ferchenbach Suite can be connected to a 60sqm Junior suite to form a 145 sqm Family Suite.
Family Suites are 80sqm offering great views of the magical Elmau valley with sunrise and sunset from May to October. All suites feature two sleeping rooms and one bathroom with an extra large shower. All Family Suites offer breathtaking views of the Elmau Valley.
Junior suites are 60-80 sqm offering views of Wetterstein Mountain and rushing Ferchenbach Creek. They feature a large sleeping and living room area with a balcony, loggia or terrace facing south, a 16sqm bathroom, and views of the mountains. Some Junior suites have sofa beds and can be connected to another Junior suite.
Double Rooms are 55sqm with views of the untouched surroundings. All rooms feature a balcony and a 12sqm bathroom with a large shower. The double rooms can be connected to the Ferchenbach Suite.
The Hideaway was originally built in 1916 and redesigned as a Luxury Spa & Cultural Hideaway in 2007. The interior design of its 115 grand yet intimate rooms, restaurants, lounges, and spas connect the luxury of space and cosmopolitan diversity with a sense of timelessness and the beauty of the untouched surroundings. Guests staying at the Hideaway may also use all the great offers of the Retreat.
