Entry Requirements

To enter Australia, you must be fully vaccinated.  You no longer need to return a negative COVID-19 PCR test (72) hours prior to boarding your flight.

You must complete an Australian Digital Passenger Declaration (DPD) (https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/covid19/digital-passenger-declaration) 72 hours prior to your scheduled travel to Australia.

Upon arrival into Australia, you must have a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) or PCR as soon as practical and within 24 hours of arrival for ACT, NSW, QLD & SA and continue to quarantine until you receive a negative result.  If you are arriving into VIC, WA, NT or TAS a RAT or PCR test is no longer required upon arrival.

If you obtain a positive result, you must register this with the relevant state Department of Health  (https://www.australia.gov.au/states) and isolate for 7 days.

You should check the testing requirements for all states and territories you will arrive, transit and travel to.  Refer to attached link:-  states and territories you will travel to and transit.

Australia considers you to be fully vaccinated if you have completed a course, including a mixed dose, of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised vaccine. Current vaccines and dosages accepted for the purposes of travel are:

Two doses at least 14 days apart of:

  • AstraZeneca Vaxzevria
  • AstraZeneca Covishield
  • Pfizer/Biontech Comirnaty
  • Moderna (Spikevax or Takeda)
  • Sinovac Coronavac
  • Bharat Covaxin

  • Gamaleya Research Institute Sputnik V
  • Novavax/Biocelect Nuvaxovid

Or one dose of:

  • Johnson & Johnson/Janssen-Cilag COVID Vaccine.

Seven days must have passed since the final dose of vaccine in a course of immunisation for you to be considered fully vaccinated. Mixed doses count towards being fully vaccinated as long as all vaccines are approved or recognised by the TGA.

It is your responsibility to ensure you meet the requirements of the airline you are travelling with and any countries you transit.

You must also comply with all other travel and medical requirements for coming to Australia.
