Day 1 - Arrive Bali | Sidemen
On arrival at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport, you are whisked away to a hillside hideaway retreat in the foothills of Mount Agung. A boutique resort surrounded by rice fields, Wapa di Ume Sidemen is the perfect place to revitalize, relax and rejuvenate with a range of holistic health and healing therapies, open-air yoga pavilion and spacious villas overlooking lush landscapes. Indulge in a Balinese afternoon tea with a selection of local cakes followed by an aromatherapy massage to restore balance and calm by engaging your senses.

Day 2 - Balinese Sunrise and Cooking | Sidemen
Start the day with sunrise and a Balinese blessing at Lempuyang Temple. Perched on a mountain surrounded by plantations and valleys with views of Mount Agung, this spiritual morning sets the perfect tone for your wellness journey. Bask in the cool mountain breeze and look out for grey-haired macaque monkeys.
This evening, discover traditional Balinese culinary wisdom with a local chef and his wife. Discover fresh vegetables, fish of the day and local meats at the market, as well as a variety of vegetarian offerings such as tempeh, tofu, corn fritters and more. Prepare Balinese sauces and classic dishes with useful tips from the chef and enjoy your self-made dinner, including appetizers, mains and dessert, in the scenic garden setting.

Day 3 - Heart of Bali, Ubud | Ubud
Experience a Melukat purification ritual performed by a high priest at Mengening Temple, arranged privately through Abercrombie & Kent. The centuries-old ritual is performed to cleanse mind, body and soul, dispelling any negative energy that surrounds you to make way for more positive energy in your future. Here, in the 11th-century temple, the priest chants a Sanskrit mantra and places holy water and holy rice on your forehead before leading you to the holy water pool.
Spend the afternoon surrounded by the lush rice paddies, ravines and rainforests of Ubud, the cultural heart of Bali with a plethora of art galleries, temples, boutique shops, and restaurants. Nestled on the side of a hill, Blue Karma Dijiwa Ubud exudes ethnic chic luxury and offers an escape to nature, where you can delve deeper into traditional Balinese spiritual culture. Enjoy a local lunch in Ubud.

Day 4 - Balinese Ancestral Remedies | Ubud
Enjoy a morning walk in the rice fields and jungles of Ubud. Pass by local farmers working in their gardens and Balinese artists painting in their studios. Return to your hotel for a blissful cup of tea and morning yoga session.
Today, you have a choice of Balinese ancestral remedies, from traditional herbal tonics, deep tissue massages and aromatherapy rituals. Learn traditional recipes for Jamu, herbal drinks made from plant roots, seeds, leaves and sometimes fruits that are used to energize, cleanse and tonify. Or experience the healing sound of Tibetan bowls and purified crystals that help to heal and balance your soul.

Day 5 - Cycling Ubud Villages | Ubud
Explore Mount Batur's volcano villages on two wheels. The 25-kilometer (15-mile) bike ride takes you from Penelokan village at the rim of the volcano, through scenic mountain paths into tropical rainforest valleys. Taste a local family’s Balinese cakes, pass through orange plantations and taste fresh, locally-grown fruits. Be inspired by wood carvers, sculptors, musicians and dancers in Sebatu village, receive a blessing at Gunung Kawi Temple meet Garuda Wisnu wood carvers at Pejeng Aji village.
Continue to Bentuyung village, which was featured in the book, Eat Pray and Love, and savor a lunch of authentic Balinese flavors at Wapa Di Ume, a traditional kitchen overlooking rice fields and an organic garden.

Day 6 - Spiritual Walk and Massage | Ubud
Visit the home of a spiritual healer in the heart of Bali’s rice-paddy-filled villages. Wander through rice fields, spice plantations and a tropical forest with a Hindu priest from the highest caste of Balinese society who guides you on a morning walk through his peaceful village. Learn about the agricultural lifestyle and the subak irrigation system which was developed by generations of Indonesian rice farmers. The priest invites you to his home for lunch where you can continue chatting about Hindu religion as well as the ancient art of keliki painting. Enjoy Balinese cakes, tea, coffee and a simple meal prepared by the priest’s wife.
Later, let go of stress and anxiety with a calming Ayurvedic Shirodara massage. This form of therapy involves gently pouring oil over the forehead to focus the mind and improve sleep quality. Continue on your path to mindfulness with an afternoon yoga session.

Day 7 - Hillside Retreat | Munduk
Explore North Bali’s picture-postcard rice fields, villages and mountains. Travel to the foothills of Batukaru Mountain where Pura Luhur Batukaru was built to honor the ancestors of the Rajas of Tabanan. Explore the sacred Hindu site and witness the beauty of Jatiluweh Valley. A lush landscape of cascading rice fields, Jatiluweh was built upon five centuries of wisdom and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage. Take in more breathtaking views at Besi Kalung Temple and enjoy lunch at a Balinese House.
Settle in at Sanak Retreat Bali, a rustic wellness retreat surrounded by mountains and tropical landscapes. The wooden bungalows are designed for simple living and come with private terraces or balconies that open up to lush greenery.

Day 8 - Mindful Morning and Waterfall Picnic | Munduk
Start the day with a guided yoga session to engage your mind and strengthen your body on a path to personal fulfillment. Later, experience natural healing through the powerful combination of Balinese meditation and Japanese reiki. The session draws out negative energy from your body and helps to strengthen your spiritual energy and physical and emotional well-being.
Indulge in a picnic lunch with sparkling wine beside the beautiful and secluded Banyuatis waterfall. After a short walk through lush rice fields and a tropical forest, you arrive at the waterfall where a private table is set up just for you.
