Day 1 - Welcome to Rio

On arrival at Rio de Janeiro International Airport (GIG), clear customs and immigration and collect your luggage. Meet and greet your local tour director in the arrivals area.

During your private transfer to your hotel, the local guide will provide some introductory information about the Marvelous City of Rio de Janeiro.

At Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana, you will live a unique experience during your stay in Rio de Janeiro. The Hotel is located by the end of Copacabana beach and offers a clear view of this worldwide known postcard. Get to know the delicious restaurants and bars of Copacabana while enjoying every moment in one of the most famous neighborhoods in Rio, known for its bohemian and poetic streets which serve as inspiration for artists to create songs, books, and poetry. If you prefer to take your time to relax, make the best of Fairmont’s two swimming pools, a spa, a sauna, restaurants, and bars.
Rooms are decorated in shades of blue, inspired by Copacabana itself and the carioca glamour of the 50s. All rooms and suites offer abundant comfort, complemented by the stunning views of Copacabana Beach, Sugarloaf, or the city.

In the afternoon, enjoy a privately guided excursion, with an English-speaking guide to Sugar Loaf Mountain. On the way there, enjoy a scenic drive to Praia Vermelha, in the Urca neighborhood.

To reach Sugar Loaf peak, ride a cable car to the top of Urca Hill to enjoy the gardens and lookout points over Guanabara Bay. Here, appreciate Rio’s unique landscape. Afterwards, take a second cable to the Sugar Loaf peak, nearly 400 meters (1,300 feet) above sea level. The views of the beaches, the Bay, the hills, and the harbor are breathtaking from this vantage point.
On the way back, pass by the beaches of Leblon, Ipanema, Arpoador, Copacabana Fortress, Copacabana beach, Leme Beach, and Vermelha Beach overlooking Sugar Loaf.
The cherry on top will be a 12-minute helicopter ride, which will allow you to experience the views of Rio de Janeiro from above, a trendy and unforgettable adventure that will remember forever.

Day 2 - Private-Boat Sail

Enjoy your first breakfast of the year and depart for a special boat tour.

Experience the view of the city from the calm waters of Guanabara Bay. On board a private boat, you will be able to see the most beautiful sights of Rio from the distance of the sea and get a different perspective of the city.

Remember to bring your swimsuit, as there will be a stop for swimming.

Return to the hotel and enjoy the rest of your day in leisure.

Day 3 - New Year's Eve

After breakfast, enjoy your morning your own way. Our suggestion is a short walk by the sea sidewalk or around Rio de Janeiro.

Tonight you will ring in the New Year like never before. Join the over two million spectators of the famous Copacabana Beach New Year’s Celebration. Enjoy the party with music, sparkling wine, and local and international food, and at midnight, the traditional fireworks show starts. See the show from the comfort of Fairmont’s Rio Pool Area with an amazing view of Copacabana beach.

Day 4 - Day at Leisure

Enjoy your first breakfast of the year and take the rest of the day to enjoy as you wish. Whether you pick to enjoy the hotel’s facilities and its surroundings or simply rest in your comfortable room, any alternative will make a good choice to start off the year with.
