Day 2 - The Iconic Christ the Redeemer

Begin the tour of Rio’s highlights, visiting the iconic Christ the Redeemer, one of the seven ‘new wonders of the world. From the top of Mount Corcovado, the views are breathtaking. The view of Rio from here is world famous, offering panoramic sights of Rio's mountains, rainforest, coastline, and unique natural composition that is considered a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 3 - Embracing the City

After breakfast, enjoy your day feeling a bit like a Carioca. During this tour through downtown Rio pass by many interesting points, such as the São Bento Monastery, Candelária Church, Praça XV, Imperial Palace, the cultural center located in the beautifully restored Banco do Brasil, the Casa França-Brasil and Gonçalves Dias Street with the traditional Confeitaria Colombo restaurant. Continue your visit to Sugar Loaf. There, ride a cable car to the top of Urca Hill to see the gardens and lookout points over Guanabara Bay, where you can appreciate Rio's unique landscape. Afterwards, take a second cable to the Sugar Loaf peak, nearly 400 meters (1,300 feet) above sea level. The views of the beaches, the Bay, the hills, and the harbor are amazing from this vantage point.
In the afternoon, appreciate Rio's sunset from the sea and get a different perspective of the famous city enjoying the most beautiful views on board a private sailing boat.

Day 4 - Welcome to Salvador de Bahía

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Salvador. Here you will be met by your local tour director at the airport and brought to the selected hotel.

Day 5 - Discover Salvador

Discover the essential sights of Salvador on a full-day tour tracing the development of the city from its simple beginnings to, what is now, the third largest city in Brazil. After your hotel pick-up with a private vehicle, travel to the mouth of the immense bay along elegant tree-lined avenues. At Municipal Square, by the towering Lacerda Elevator, marvel at the fantastic views of the bay stretching out to the lower city and stroll through the narrow, bustling streets lined with buildings adorned in pastel shades of an age gone by, whilst soaking in the sights and sounds of this vibrant city. Afterwards, visit the church of São Francisco with its exuberant gold-leafed Baroque interior and Pelourinho Square, the heart of the old town.

After stopping for lunch at a place of your choosing, discover Salvador from a different perspective. Let yourself be taken to the quiet waters of the Itapagipe Peninsula, where life moves at a slower pace than in the bustling upper city. Watch the fishermen at work, fishing from dug out canoes and locals collecting shellfish at low tide, whilst schooners lie at anchor. In the background, the famous Bonfim church, one of the most important churches of pilgrimage in Brazil and deeply syncretised with the Candomblé, overlooks the area. Continue to the Monserrat district with its panoramic view of the city and on to the Mercado Modelo, a thriving market for local artifacts and souvenirs.

Day 6 - Welcome to Itacaré

Meet with your local guide at the lobby of the hotel and get your transfer to Salvador airport, where you will take your flight to Itacaré, on the coast of southern Bahia. As you arrive at Itacaré airport, you will get a transfer to Txai Resort, a Relais & Chateaux property surrounded by a protected environmental area. The resort offers a spa, the Shamash Healing Space complete with panoramic ocean views, five pools surrounded by coconut trees, and a tennis court.

Day 7 - Enjoy a Romantic Dinner
