Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive San Francisco, California - Napa Valley

Upon arrival in San Francisco, meet your private driver for a 2-hour scenic drive over the Golden Gate Bridge and through Napa Valley to your overnight lodging at Solage.

Solage is a fresh and vibrant Napa Valley escape just a few miles below Calistoga at the north end of Napa Valley. A century ago, Calistoga was a town centered around its bubbling natural hot springs and the beautiful weather of the Napa Valley. Today, it’s a bucket-list destination for ardent wine lovers, foodies, and wellness seekers for its particularly enviable version of the “good life.” Solage was created to reflect its hometown spirit, drawing visitors as well as area vintners who come here after a day in the vineyards to relax and connect over a glass of wine or a craft cocktail.

Enjoy the pool and spa at Solage in the afternoon and dinner on the terrace at Solbar.

Day 2 - Napa Valley | Private Wine Tastings

Napa Valley is about 30 miles in length and has more than 45,000 acres of picturesque rolling hills planted with vineyards year-round. Internationally known as one of the world's greatest wine regions, it is just one-eighth the size of Bordeaux, France. Several hundred wineries call Napa Valley home, and you will explore some of the best private wineries.

Meet your private driver-guide in the late morning to begin your day of tasting. Your driver will take you to specially arranged tastings at three outstanding wineries, starting with a wine-paired lunch. Then two tastings in the afternoon, as you discover the serenity and charm of Napa Valley. Your visit to Napa Valley will be completely customized to fit your interests, and wineries will be confirmed in accordance with your varietal preferences. Return to Solage in the late afternoon to relax and freshen up before dinner.

We will assist you with dinner reservations this evening at fine restaurants throughout Napa Valley.

Day 3 - Napa Valley | Exclusive Cooking Class & Wine-Paired Lunch

This morning is free to relax at the hotel and enjoy a leisurely breakfast, the pool, and the spa. Or take the bicycles available to all guests at Solage and bike through the vineyards adjacent to the property. In the late morning, meet your private driver at the hotel for the short drive to nearby Peju Winery.

A love of farming and a passion for wine brought Tony Peju to Napa Valley. Born near the Caspian Sea, Tony’s ideas for Peju Winery were derived from his experiences in France, and England and while growing and selling flowers in Los Angeles. In 1983, Tony and his wife Herta (H.B.) purchased 30 acres of land in the Napa Valley with the magic ingredient – great location – and Peju Winery was born.

Upon arrival at Peju Winery, join your host in the winery kitchen or at the wood-fired brick oven among the vines to craft a delicious meal together. Pick vegetables and herbs from their organic garden and learn special tips and tricks for making delicious farm-to-table, wine-country-inspired meals. Then enjoy your lunch in a private setting in the winery or among the vines, with your lunch creation paired with delicious Peju wines.

In the late afternoon, drive to the charming town of St. Helena to browse the shops and galleries before returning to Solage to relax and freshen up before dinner.

Day 4 - Sonoma Valley | Private Wine Tastings & Lunch

After breakfast at Solage, check out and meet your driver-guide for a day of exploration in the Sonoma Valley, a southwest neighbor of Napa Valley. You’ll stop for a glass of “bubbly” at one of the best sparkling wine houses in the Carneros region, then continue to an award-winning shared wine-paired lunch in a beautiful Sonoma Valley setting surrounded by vineyards. Your final stop will be at one of the award-winning Pinot Noir wineries for which Sonoma’s Russian River Valley is famed. In the late afternoon, you’ll arrive at your overnight lodging at Farmhouse Inn.

Owned by fifth-generation Sonoma siblings Joe and Catherine Bartolomei, Farmhouse Inn is a romantic and rustic boutique hotel that is known for its incredible Sonoma dining and wine tasting in the heart of the Russian River Valley. Both the lavish spa and Michelin-starred restaurant are driven by a farm-to-table ethos: treatments and tasting menus alike feature organic ingredients grown on the property by the resident gardener. The Inn offers 25 luxurious accommodations with sublime furnishings and country-chic décor. The grounds also include a pool area with a hot tub, outdoor fire pits for s’mores, and beautiful gardens to enjoy throughout the property. 20 minutes from Healdsburg, the neighboring towns and wineries afford opportunities to explore Sonoma by hiking, boating, biking, and coastal activities.

Relax and freshen up, then join the Inn’s sommelier for a private wine tasting before dinner at the Inn’s Michelin-starred restaurant.

Day 5 - Sonoma Valley | Redwoods & Oysters

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the Inn, then meet your private driver-guide for a short drive to Armstrong Redwoods State Preserve. As you hike among these giants, your guide will share information about the complex ecology found in the unique coastal redwood groves filled with some of the tallest trees on earth.

After your walk, drive south through the rolling hills of Sonoma and Marin to Point Reyes Station. Upon arrival, dive deep into the heart of the Tomales Bay oyster world, with a private tour where you will go behind the scenes at one of the oyster farms to learn about what goes into farming sustainable bivalves. Then taste beautifully prepared oysters -- raw, baked, barbecued, and smoked -- all the while taking in the beautiful waterfront views.

Return to Farmhouse Inn in the mid-afternoon to relax, and enjoy the pool and spa before dinner at one of the fine restaurants in neighboring Healdsburg, including the 3-Michelin-starred SingleThread. We will assist you with reservations.
