Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to Santiago

Upon arrival at Santiago International Airport, you will be met by a local representative who will assist you and transfer you to your hotel. Early Check-in has been guaranteed for your immediate use of it, and start feeling the local atmosphere and service, this way to be prepared for the afternoon activity. We recommend having lunch at the hotel (not included).

In the afternoon, you’ll get to experience one of the most developed cities in South America. Santiago combines the urban and the classic, in both its architecture and atmosphere. This heritage comes to life through iconic city sights such as the Moneda Presidential Palace, designed by the Italian designer, Joaquin Toesca. From 1845 to 1930 the building served as a presidential residence. What were once grand living quarters are now the offices of Cabinet ministers. The Plaza de Armas is the city’s most famous square, surrounded by important and beautiful buildings such as the Cathedral and Central Post Office. One of the most important parts of the city is San Cristobal Hill. The hill is recognized as one of the largest urban parks. This time, you will enjoy a fun ride on the historical Funicular (Cable Car) until the top of the hill to admire the city from a different perspective, and then your ride down will be enjoying the cableway that connects the top with the base and Providencia’s district of Northern Pedro de Valdivia’s neighbors. This tour shows you the different contrasts of the city, taking you on a trip through the Santiago of yesteryear to the modern metropolis it is today.

Early this evening, your vehicle will be waiting to transfer you to the chef’s home, who will be waiting for you for a pleasant and entertaining activity and lull you with Chilean preparations. A welcome based on selected products will be the beginning, and then get down to work and together prepare some typical Chilean dishes in an entertaining conversation and view of Santiago.
