Day 1 - Arrive Johannesburg

On arrival at O.R. Tambo International Airport, you will be met by a representative who will assist you to your private transfer to The Saxon Hotel & Spa. The transfer time is approximately 35 minutes.  

If you prefer staying in, experience locally inspired culinary delight with Qunu’s bold flavours, homegrown seasonal ingredients and honest approach to cuisine. We recommend one of the incredible four, five or six course dinner tasting menu, expertly paired with a selection of wines by the Saxon’s sommeliers.

Alternatively, we can arrange a private transfer to Marble, one of Johannesburg’s top restaurants. Marble offers diners not just a plate of food, but a theatre of experience. The restaurant celebrates the quintessential South African tradition of cooking on fire, while the wine list features 100 of the best local and international wines.

Day 2 - Tswalu Private Game Reserve

After breakfast you will be transferred to the Fireblade Hangar for your shared charter flight to Tswalu Kalahari. On arrival at Tswalu's private airstrip, you will be met by a lodge representative and transferred to Tswalu Kalahari The Motse. The transfer time is approximately 20 minutes.

The Motse, lies at the foot of the Korannaberg mountains facing westwards across the grasslands of the Kalahari. Motse means “village” in Tswana. The Motse accommodates no more than 24 guests at any one time to make for a truly intimate Kalahari experience. The main house is a spectacular space in which to meet, with its elevated decks and elegant lounges. An infinity pool offers an endless view over the savannas, and a secluded spa is designed to complete your total relaxation. The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer.

Dining at Tswalu is rooted in local heritage and cultural diversity. Every taste is a reminder of South Africa’s rich culinary heritage, interpreted in a fresh, modern way. Creating a refined, seasonal dining experience in the middle of a vast, remote reserve. Almost everything is made from scratch. The chefs, under the mentorship of executive chef, Marnus Scholly, are developing a pioneering, sustainable food culture in close collaboration with chef Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen who retains a Michelin star for Restaurant JAN in Nice, France, which opened in 2013. His vision of developing a sustainable food culture at Tswalu now finds expression at Restaurant Klein JAN, where a seasonal tasting menu celebrates the best of the region on the plate.

Day 3 - Tswalu Private Game Reserve

The day is at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer. These include game drives with a private guide, vehicle and tracker per booking. Walking safaris, led by experienced field guides and trackers and horse-back rides. Gently walk the grassy plains and rolling dunes against the pink and mauve backdrop of the Korannaberg mountains in the late afternoon sun, and enjoy the views of the arid savanna whilst becoming part of the landscape.

Day 4 - Tswalu Private Game Reserve

The day is at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer. Watching thousands of stars slowly spin through a black velvet sky as you fall asleep makes a night spent on the Malori sleep-out deck an unforgettable experience. Enjoy a glowing Kalahari sunset as you eat dinner, then see the world anew as birdsong and the strengthening light awaken you at dawn.

Day 5 - Cape Town

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your shared charter flight to Cape Town International Airport. On arrival, you will be met by a representative who will assist you to your transfer to The Silo Hotel. The transfer time is approximately 35 minutes.

The Silo Hotel has been built in the grain elevator portion of the historic grain silo complex occupying six floors above Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA) which houses Africa’s largest collection of contemporary African art. The Silo Hotel features 28 rooms, including a spectacular one bedroom penthouse. Each room has been individually designed and decorated and has a private balcony and a unique collection of contemporary African art.

Wolfgat, Patenoster

Wolfgat, located on the West Coast on the Western Cape was voted the best restaurant in the world in 2019. We can arrange a scenic helicopter transfer flight from Cape Town to the restaurant for lunch and back. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience showcasing a selection of indigenous ingredients specific to its coastal location. Drawing inspiration from the surrounding landscape and its dramatic seasonal transformation, Kobus van der Merwe’s signature Strandveld food menu comprises a series of tasting dishes presented in seven courses. Sustainable seafood, local lamb and venison, and seasonal veldkos is featured, enhanced by wild herbs, seaweeds from the local rock pools, and pickings from the garden. Some of the elements on the tasting menu take weeks of preparation, while other ingredients are handpicked on the day for the exact number of bookings received. Only 20 diners per sitting - keeping it small and sustainable.

Explore the Winelands with a Cape Wine Master
Meet the people behind South Africa’s world-class, locally produced vintages, with all-areas access at boutique wineries. Experience a wealth of stories and rich culture, brought alive by specialist wine guides that include winemakers, head sommeliers and international wine buyers. Cape Wine Master, Harry Melck, will ensure you enjoy exclusive access to family wine farms and intimate tastings with the people behind the wine. His focus is on the interactions of the day, by creating a chance to slow down and share stories while learning more about what the South African Winelands have to offer. Hike or bike the vineyards and immerse yourself in the beautiful Winelands scenery.

Passionate foodie guides include market traders and gourmet chefs. We can arrange exclusive private tasting tables and gourmet picnics in great locations or find your own favourite flavours on an urban & wild foraging tour.

Cape Malay Cooking Lessons
Lekka Kombuis is situated in a historic part of Cape Town called Bo Kaap. The Bo Kaap is a colourful iconic neighbourhood full of rich history and culture. Gamidah will welcome you into her home, one of the oldest in Bo Kaap, for a fun interactive cooking lesson which lasts approximately 2 hours. You can expect to make some of the following dishes during your class: traditional Cape Malay curry, rotis, samosa folding, chilli bites and sambal. Immerse yourself in this experience for a true glimpse into a local Cape Malay home and a taste of local flavours and spices. Cape Malay flavour influences date back to the 17th century when slaves were brought to South Africa from Indonesia, Bali & Jakarta. Another very important influence is that of the Malays. These then developed into what we know today as Cape Malay.

Tea-Pairing Lunch Experience – Crofters Kitchen

Nicky Gibbs, who has the travelled the world, opens up her home for the most intimate relaxed lunch experience, where your organic culinary journey starts at the seedling stage. Nicky’s loving hands have reared each and every plant, to bring the ingredients from her garden and region to your plate. Our amazing coastline location allows Nicky to forage for the freshest sustainable sea-life. Nicky will prepare the harvest with inspirational fusions from all over the globe, which will whisper to your soul. Interesting combinations from what is seasonally available are prepared.

Day 6 - Cape Town

The day is at leisure to explore the city of Cape Town or enjoy some of our foodie inspired experiences.  

End the day at the Silo Rooftop which offers guests a relaxed and easy eating experience. Poolside lounging is complemented with treats from the tempura bar, fresh oysters, pulled pork sandwiches, and a selection of healthy snacks. Enjoy a glass of bubbly or a classic cocktail while you soak up the views and sunset.

Day 7 - Cape Town

Day 8 - Kruger National Park

After breakfast you will be transferred to Cape Town International Airport for your scheduled flight to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. On arrival you will be met by a representative who will assist you to your private light aircraft flight to Singita Lebombo. The flying time is approximately 45 minutes.

On arrival, you will be met by a representative who will transfer you to the lodge. The transfer time is approximately 40 minutes.

The dramatic cliffside setting of Sigita Lebombo ‘s 13 contemporary glass walled suites ensures inimitable views of the world-renowned Kruger National Park. The lodge’s cutting-edge design is cleverly integrated into its African wilderness setting, where everything defers to nature and light-filled structures welcome the breath-taking surrounds inside. Surrounded by Singita’s 33,000-acre private concession in the Park, the lodge boasts communal areas that extend seamlessly into rocky outcrops dotted with giant Euphorbia trees. The day is at leisure to enjoy the game viewing activities on offer. These include daily game drives with professional guides and trackers provide the perfect opportunity to get up close to Africa’s incredible animals, while late afternoon drives reveal the elusive magic of nocturnal Africa. Walking safaris are a great way to experience the bush up close and personal. Your expert guide and tracker will accompany you as you track animals on foot through the wilderness and explore the magnificent plants and landscapes around you.

Day 9 - Kruger National Park

Singita Community Culinary School Cooking Classes
The Singita Community Culinary School is a community partnership programme that produces 10 internationally qualified commis chefs every year. The school features a state-of-the-art demonstration studio at Singita Lebombo Lodge where you will be able to take part in a pre-arranged cooking class, led by a professional, qualified chef. Choose to cook a popular, traditional South African dish or a trademark dish from chef Liam Tomlin's tapas menu. *All funds raised are used to support the ongoing work of the Singita Community Culinary School.

As one of South Africa’s most influential buyers of wine, Singita’s cellars are home to some of the most sought-after private reserves and vintage wines the country has to offer. Whether you are a connoisseur or just enjoy the occasional glass of wine, the experienced sommeliers delight in introducing guests to a vast selection of varietals from all over the world. Enjoy a personalised wine tasting within the unique ambience of the lodge’s temperature-controlled cellar.

Day 10 - Kruger National Park

Enjoy a morning game viewing activity and breakfast before your transfer to the airstrip. The transfer time is approximately 40 minutes. Depart on your shared light aircraft flight to the Federal Air hangar in Johannesburg. On arrival you will be met by a representative who will transfer you to O.R. Tambo International Airport for your onward flight and journey.
