Day 1 - Arrive Maui

Upon arrival, secure your hired car (arranged independently) and drive to your luxurious lodging.

Day 2 - Haleakala National Park

It’s an early departure from your hotel for your private tour of Haleakala National Park. Start at sea level, then traverse through a variety of terrain including sugar cane fields, pastureland, and old lava fields. Arrive at the summit of Haleakala, approximately 10,000 feet, and be amazed at the expansive otherworldly vista. Take time to stroll the Pa Ka’oao Trail to observe ancient rock walls, shelters, and an outstanding crater view. With the help of your guide, explore the summit and examine the highly endangered, endemic Silversword as well as other flora and native birds. Enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to sea level and your hotel. 

This evening, join The Feast at Lele, a royal tour of Polynesian cuisine that shares the spotlight with music and dance from four Pacific islands – Aotearoa, Tahiti, Samoa, and Hawai'i. Enjoy a sit-down dinner of five courses, where every table is intimate, offering a panoramic view of the West Maui sunsets.

Day 3 - Snorkel or Whale Watch on a Private Boat Charter

Discover one more way to experience Maui – from the sea on a Private Boat Charter. Head to the harbor and step aboard the “Shooting Star”, a 34’ Scarab and one of the original boats from the Baywatch TV series. Your captain will design the morning to match your interests. Look for whales (season permitting) and drop into the perfect snorkel spot. Satiate your appetite with a lovely deli lunch.

Day 4 - Maui-Hawai'i Island

This morning check out of your hotel and head to Kahului Airport for your transfer to Hawai'i Island. Upon arrival, secure your hire car.

Today, meet up for a two hour fully immersive tour of a working coffee farm. View organic coffee fields and trails lined with tropical vegetation as you explore the estate. Learn how 100% Kona coffee is grown, picked, and processed, and take advantage of the opportunity to sample various roasts.

Savor that morning cup of joe after your experience.

This afternoon check into your lodging for the duration of your time on the island.

Day 5 - Volcanoes National Park

This morning, meet your private driver/guide for an immersive day at Volcanoes National Park and the East side of the island.  As you make your way around the island, stop to view Rainbow Falls, a cascading and misty waterfall. 

Continue on to the National Park, where your National Park Certified Guide will share a mix of natural and cultural history about the island’s formation and the ever-changing landscape. 

Enjoy 2-3 miles of hiking around the park’s most dynamic terrain and examine a lava tube known for its bright yellow and gold microbial mats on the cave walls. Along the way, enjoy a picnic lunch with some afternoon appetizers to keep you going through the day.

Day 6 - Mauna Kea Summit & Stars

Enjoy a morning at your leisure.

Meet your private driver/guide in the midafternoon for this special evening tour. Leave the coastline behind as you ascend to the summit of Mauna Kea. On the way, stop for a warm picnic dinner as you learn about Hawaiian star navigation and historical accounts of the early travelers to this area of the world. You will then be escorted to the top of Mauna Kea, the highest point in the Pacific to delight in the awe-inspiring sunset. 

Thereafter, descend to a lower elevation and be treated to a private star show with an 11” Celestron telescope as you sip hot chocolate. Return to your hotel after an evening that revealed the wonders of the night sky in this special location.

Day 7 - A Day at the Beach | Evening Manta Ray Encounter

No visit to the Big island is complete without a picnic on the beach. Many beautiful white sand beaches flank the Kohala Coast. Pick up lunch, snacks, and drinks at the iconic Puako General Store, a quaint little mainstay near the highway turnoff at Puako for a picnic on one of the island’s most beautiful beaches. Choices include Puako Beach, near the store; Beach 69, just to the north of Puako; Spencer Beach Park; or Hapuna Beach Park, often listed as one of the top 10 beaches in the nation. Another choice is Anaeho’omalu Bay, with a gorgeous beach fringed by coco palms. It's located at the Waikoloa turnoff (veer left of the hotels to access the beach).

The rest of your afternoon are at your leisure.

In the evening, board your private catamaran and set sail in time to view the beautiful Kona sunset. Your boat offers ample seating, lighting and bathrooms. After the sun sets and you have time to take in the scenery, prepare for a private night snorkel adventure. Please note a swimsuit is needed and a wetsuit top will be provided. The manta ray is among the largest fish in the ocean with wingspans of up to 20 feet and more. The Kona Coast offers the best opportunity to encounter these amazing creatures. At night, spotlights are used to attract mantas that feed off the plankton illuminated by the light. As intimidating as these otherworldly mantas look, they are actually quite friendly and do not have stingers. After an hour swim with these beautiful creatures, you return to the Kailua pier.

Day 8 - Depart Maui

Drive one hour to Kahului Airport. Return your rental car and depart on your flight home.
