COVID-19 Protocols & Entry Requirements

International Travel Status

  • From 15 November 2021, fully vaccinated travelers can travel anywhere in Cambodia without quarantine. Please see additional entry requirements below.
  • Non-vaccinated travelers are required to complete a 14-day quarantine on arrival.
  • E-visa applications are now possible via www.evisa.gov.kh or contact your nearest Embassy of Cambodia.

 

Entry Requirements

Fully vaccinated travelers:

  • Provide proof of vaccination
    In cases when children and adolescents have not had access to vaccines due to conditions in their home country, they will be permitted to travel quarantine-free as long as they are accompanied by their fully vaccinated parents.
  • Complete two COVID-19 tests:
    • One RT-PCR within 72 hours prior to boarding the flight to Cambodia
    • One Antigen (rapid) test at the airport on arrival. The traveler must wait at the airport for the result (about 15-20 minutes). After that, the traveler is free to go anywhere in the country.
      If the traveler tests positive for COVID-19 on arrival, they will be admitted to a treatment facility designated by the Ministry of Health for monitoring and treatment. The conditions in these centers can be very basic.
  • Obtain travel insurance up to US $50,000 including COVID-19 cover
  • Travelers must comply with all health measures stipulated by local authorities during their stay

 

Non-vaccinated travelers

  • Undergo a COVID-19 PCR test on arrival and complete a 14-day quarantine
    Quarantine must be pre-booked and paid at one of the approved hotels: Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott Phnom Penh or Raffles Hotel Le Royal Phnom Penh. Alternatively, quarantine may be at a hotel arranged by the Cambodian Government.
  • Obtain travel insurance up to US $50,000 including COVID-19 cover
  • Travelers must comply with all health measures stipulated by local authorities during their stay

 

Situation In-Country

  • Cambodia has achieved the highest rate of vaccination compared to other Southeast Asian countries. Approximately 88% of the population has been fully vaccinated as of 17 November 2021.
  • Shops, restaurants and other services are operating as normal.
  • Although not mandatory, wearing masks in public places is common practice in Cambodia.
