FULL LENGTH TOUR DESCRIPTION
Morning transfer to the local pier to board the hydrofoil and navigate about 1 hour through the River Plate until Colonia de Sacramento (Uruguay). Upon arrival at the local pier in Colonia, you will start the visit to this colonial town.
Founded in 1680 it has been recently declared a UNESCO world heritage site.  This charming city founded by the Portuguese in the 17th century with its old inner city, still has a lot to say about its Colonial period, preserved in old building and museums.
The famous Calle de los Suspiros, (Street of Sights), the Puerta del Campo, the Plaza Mayor 25 de Mayo; all of them are places that invite visitors to ream through them and discover the past, a past that can still be felt in the cobblestones and stone walls. The ruins of the Calera de las Huérfanas are also located near to Colonia.
Besides the Barrio Histórico (Historic Quarters), its many tourist attractions includes white sand beaches, resorts such as Riachuelo and Artilleros with gorgeous sunsets; then continue along its beautiful coastline to the Real de San Carlos, the great bullring of the time of Charles III of Spain, the racetrack and the old dock.
During the visit you will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch at local restaurant.
In due time, transfer back to the pier and navigation back to Buenos Aires.

Take the ferry from Buenos Aires over to Uruguay to visit the UNESCO World Heritage city of Colonia de Sacramento.  Enjoy approximately 5 hours to explore this charming, 17th century Portuguese colonial city, including lunch.
