COVID-19 Protocols & Entry Requirements

International Travel Status

Russia is open for citizens or residents of Brazil, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, the UK, and the US, but closed to international travel for citizens or residents of Australia.

Ukraine is open for international travel for citizens or residents of all countries.

 

Baltic States:

Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are open for international travel for citizens or residents of all countries if they have been fully vaccinated, as well as non-vaccinated citizens and residents of other European countries.

 

Central Asia:

Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan are open for international travel for citizens or residents of most countries.

 

The Caucasus:

Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia are open for international travel for citizens or residents of most countries.

 

Please note: It may also be possible to gain entry to some of these destinations if a guest has spent 14 days or more in a country with a lower rate of infections, regardless of their citizenship or residency. Please contact us for more information on any of the above destinations.

 

 

Access into Russia and CIS

Entry to all countries is allowed via international flights. All airports are open, as well as almost all land borders (some exceptions for Russia and Azerbaijan). Please contact us for further information about these destinations.

Entry Requirements

Russia:

  • All guests arriving must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate in English, obtained 48 hours prior to arrival to Russia.
  • All guests arriving must complete an application form with arrival, contact and subsequent location details on board the aircraft.
  • Guests need to adhere to COVID-19 prevention measures that include wearing masks and practicing social distancing of 1.5 meters (5 feet).

 

Ukraine:

  • Guests must present a certificate of full vaccination (two or more doses) and negative results of a PCR or antigen test no more than 72 hours old upon arrival.
  • Guests must have health insurance certificates that cover COVID treatment and observation, issued by a company registered in Ukraine.
  • Guests must adhere to COVID prevention measures that include wearing masks and practicing social distancing of 2 meters (6.5 feet).

 

Baltic States:

Estonia:

  • All guests arriving must present a certificate of full vaccination (two or more doses) or recovery (date between 6 and 12 months earlier) upon arrival.
  • Guests must register electronically prior to arrival. The form can be completed at the following link: https://iseteenindus.terviseamet.ee/
  • Guests need to adhere to COVID-19 prevention measures that include wearing masks and practicing social distancing of 2 meters (6.5 feet).

 

Latvia:

  • All guests arriving must present a certificate of full vaccination (two or more doses) or recovery upon arrival. Non-vaccinated guests are only permitted entry with negative PCR test results, but must self-isolate for 10 days upon arrival anyway.
  • Guests must register electronically prior to arrival. The form can be completed at the following link: https://covidpass.lv/en/
  • Guests need to adhere to COVID-19 prevention measures that include wearing masks and practicing social distancing of 2 meters (6.5 feet). A certificate of vaccination, recovery, or recent negative test results are required for entry into most public venues.

 

Lithuania:

  • Guests must present a certificate of full vaccination (two or more doses) or recovery upon arrival. Non-vaccinated guests from other selected countries in Europe may enter without a vaccination certificate by presenting negative results of a PCR test taken no more than 72 hours earlier or antigen test taken no more than 48 hours earlier upon arrival.
  • Guests must register electronically prior to arrival. The form can be completed at the following link: https://keleiviams.nvsc.lt/en/form
  • Guests are recommended to take a PCR test no more than 3 days after arrival.
  • Guests need to adhere to COVID-19 prevention measures that include wearing masks and practicing social distancing of 2 meters (6.5 feet). A certificate of vaccination, recovery, or recent negative test results are required for entry into most public venues.

 

The Caucasus:

Armenia:

  • All guests arriving via air or land borders must provide a certificate of vaccination or negative results of a PCR test taken within the previous 72 hours.
  • Guests need to adhere to COVID-19 prevention measures that include wearing masks and practicing social distancing of 1.5 meters (5 feet).

 

Azerbaijan:

  • All guests arriving must provide a certificate of full vaccination in addition to negative results of a PCR test taken within the previous 72 hours.
  • Guests need to adhere to COVID-19 prevention measures that include wearing masks and practicing social distancing of 1.5 meters (5 feet). A certificate of vaccination or recovery, is required for entry into most public venues.

 

Georgia:

  • Guests must present negative results of a PCR test no more than 72 hours old upon arrival, in addition to a certificate of vaccination. Those without proof of vaccination must instead take a second PCR test three days later (at their own expense). There is no obligation to self-isolate between arrival and the second test.
  • All guests arriving must complete the special application form, indicating the travel history of the last 14 days and contact details: https://registration.gov.ge/pub/form/8_protocol_for_arrivals_in_georgia/tk6157/ 
  • Guests need to adhere to COVID-19 prevention measures that include wearing masks and practicing social distancing of 2 meters (6.5 feet). A certificate of vaccination, recovery, or recent negative test results are required for entry into most public venues.

 

Central Asia:

Kyrgyzstan:

  • No tests are required to enter the country.
  • Guests need to adhere to COVID-19 prevention measures that include wearing masks and practicing social distancing of 2 meters (6.5 feet).

 

Tajikistan:

  • All guests arriving must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate, obtained no more than 72 hours prior to arrival in Tajikistan.
  • Guests need to adhere to COVID-19 prevention measures that include wearing masks and practicing social distancing of 2 meters (6.5 feet).

 

Uzbekistan:

  • Guests must present a certificate of vaccination or recovery, in addition to negative PCR test results that are no more than 72 hours old at the time of arrival.
  • Guests arriving from a select group of countries (currently including Australia and the UK), must undergo 10 days of self-isolation upon arrival, regardless of test results or vaccination status.
  • Guests need to adhere to COVID-19 prevention measures that include wearing masks and practicing social distancing of 2 meters (6.5 feet).

Results are provided in different ways depending on the type of test taken and the destination. Most testing facilities are able to provide results to the guest via email (we recommend that guests print out a hard copy of any electronic results at their accommodation), while others require the guest to return to the clinic to pick up results in person.
  • Costs vary according to location, type of test and type of facility (in clinic or mobile testing at guest accommodation). Approximate costs for PCR testing at a clinic range from €130-205. Approximate costs for PCR testing at guest accommodation range from €300-385. Payment should be by credit card directly to the testing facility

 

Ukraine

  • PCR and antibody testing is available in Kiev at local clinics or guest accommodation. Testing at guest accommodation must be booked at least 24 hours in advance
  • Opening times vary depending on location. We recommend for guests to be tested at their accommodation
  • Turnaround times can vary depending on the type of test taken and the destination. Typically results are ready within 24 hours. Express results are ready within 6 hours. Results are provided in different ways depending on the type of test taken and the destination. Most testing facilities are able to provide results to the guest via email (we recommend that guests print out a hard copy of any electronic results at their accommodation), while others require the guest to return to the clinic to pick up results in person.
  • Costs vary according to location, type of test and type of facility (in clinic or mobile testing at guest accommodation). Approximate costs for PCR testing at a clinic are $50. Approximate costs at guest accommodation are $70 for PCR testing and $100 for express testing. Payment should be made directly to the testing facility

  • Turnaround times can vary depending on the type of test taken and the destination. Typically results are ready within 24 hours. If a test is taken before 5pm results are delivered after 10pm on the same day. Results are sent to the guest via the Telegram app in the language requested or a hard copy can be picked up from the clinic in person.
